The
Worthington School
District is providing parent, guardian, and student access to
demographic and other information related to specific students in the
district. This information is intended for the student and
their legal guardian(s) only. The username and password used
to access this information should not be sfont-family:
Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;hared with unauthorized
individuals. Although the district Technology Department
strives to provide access to this information at all times, technical
difficulties may make this information temporarily unavailable.
Any data presented via this interface is subject to change
without notice. Questions regarding the posting of
assignments, grades, etc. should be directed to your child's school. |
What grade levels have access
to the
student/parent portal? |
|
Portal
access began
January '08 for middle school students and was followed with access for
their parents in February '08 as portal development continued.
Tenative plans are for elementary parent access for Fall '08
and high school parents by February '09. |
How can I get access to the
student/parent portal? |
|
Students
have immediate access once they are provided a
userid and password through their school. As a parent, you
must provide the district with a correct email address. Entry
of this information into your son or daughter's information at school
should generate an email to you within 2-3 school days. The
email will provide the information you need for access. One
additional piece of information you will need is your son or daughter's
userid which they use to access the school's network. |
I have changed my
email address, what do I need
to do? |
|
To
change your email address, call your child's school
to notify them of the change, or if you already have access to the
portal you may change your email address online. Once the
email address has been changed, you will lose access until you receive
an email notification and you will need to re-establish the access to
your child's records. It is important for you to notify each
school in the Worthington School District if your children attend more
than one school. |
Why isn't this available to the
public? |
|
Portal
access is provided only to parents because all
student data is treated in a confidential manner. The Worthington
School District web site is available with general news and
information for the public. |
What information is available via
the portal? |
|
Middle
School and high school students/parents will
have access to current year demographics, grades, attendance, and
homework. Elementary parents will have access to current year
demographics and teacher web pages. Access to student's
network files is also available as well as other appropriate
information. |
How do I get assistance with an
issue? |
|
Students
and parents should seek assistance from their
school. The technology department will work with the school
to resolve issues as needed and provide the best response possible. |
I clicked Reset Password and get
an error - what
do I need to do? |
|
You
must have accessed the system at least once with
your assigned password and have completed the Password Reset
Configuration under My Account. Once this is done you can
utilize the Reset Password from the first screen. |
How do I setup access to view
my child's records? |
|
Once
logged on, click My Account and select Child
Access Verification. This page lists any students associated
with your email address. Verify each child by entering their
LAN id, then click Verify? |
How can I find out my child's LAN id? |
|
If
your child does not provide this to you, call the
school to request it. |
How do I view my child's
records? What if there
are mistakes? |
|
On
the first page of the portal click My Account then
select Child Records Access. Instructions are provided on
that page. If a parent, guardian, or student believes any
grade information is incorrect, this issue should be discussed
with the teacher for the class in question. If any student
demographic or contact information is incorrect, inaccuracies should be
corrected through the student's school office. |
